As we remain in our homes for the foreseeable future, we are all altering our perceptions of what is “normal” to acclimate to the current reality. Amid law school selection season, prospective students face a unique challenge—getting a feel for law schools without actually being able to visit.

In response, BC Law recently held its first virtual Admitted Students Day on March 27 and 28. Administration, professors, alumni, and current students all contributed to the content, trying to encapsulate what makes BC Law so special in a series of posted videos and live webinars.

Thinking back to this time last year, I was both overwhelmed and unsure of what law school I would ultimately choose. Having the ability to tour campus and experience BC Law in person really helped my decision-making process. I was able to get a glimpse of classes I would be taking and envision my day-to-day life.

The virtual experiences website is now full of new content and aims to bring that same sense of experience and comfort to students, even in the midst of COVID-19. With virtual campus tours, recorded lectures, and of course a lot of advice from current students, the resources provide prospective and admitted students with all they need to see what BC Law is all about. And don’t forget to check out the recorded Criminal Law lecture on the website, taught by my very own Professor Steve Koh! I may be biased, but it’s an interesting and engaging class that provides some insight into what you might be getting yourself into here at BC Law.
